Designed over forty years ago, this simple, yet highly functional lamp, still looks as fresh today, as it did upon it`s release, thanks to it`s timeless design.
Coupé works equally in modern or classical environments, with it`s gorgeous, stove-enamlled, glossy black lacquered, aluminium shade and base and chrome plated stem. The shade is adjustable in height along the stem and is also able to rotate along the axis of the attachment, providing direct light to a desired area. The slit in the diffuser acts as an uplighter for softer directional light.
This light won the 'International Design Award' from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago in 1968. Considered to be such an important design, that it is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York and of the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.
